    Overview

    The SST-Porous®Components BDT Series , specifically designed for Lighting Vent Cap , is the result of independent development by SST. It combines SST-Porous-PTFE breathable film with high-grade thermoplastic elastomers, including EPDM and TPE. Advanced welding techniques, such as ultrasonic or thermal pressing, are employed to assemble these components. The PTFE porous material is encased in a durable polypropylene shell, providing robust protection against punctures and collisions, thereby significantly enhancing the product’s longevity and ensuring its safety, reliability, and durability. This component introduces novel functions and features, achieving cost reduction and facilitating a one-key installation process. It is characterized by its exceptional waterproofing, breathability, and hydrophobic and oil-repellent properties, ensuring ease of installation.

    How to install waterproof breathable automotive vent cap:
    – choose the correct waterproof and breathable vent cap size according to the outside diameter of the lamp socket.

    – do not allow too long vent holes for lamps and lanterns to prevent waterproof and breathable membranes from puncture holes.

    The inner core of waterproof and breathable cap aligns the air hole of the lamp, and the external cover is properly pressed.

    – waterproof breathable vent cap core is inserted into the vent to ensure that it is not too loose or too tight.

    5. PFOA-free

    SST-Porous® The material used in the s-PTFE breathable membrane is different from the PTFE raw material used in e-PTFE. It is obtained from a suspension and does not require an emulsifier – perfluorooctane acid (PFOA) (PFOA is suspected to be carcinogenic). Therefore, if the SST-Porous® s-PTFE breathable membrane in the component adopts s-PTFE type breathable membrane, the SST-Porous® component BD T series breathable cap products are free of PFOA harmful substances .

    For specially designated SST-Porous® e-PTFE breathable membranes, you can choose PTFE dispersion raw materials prepared with environmentally friendly emulsifiers, so thatSST-Porous® component BDT series breathable cap products do not contain PFOA.
